DUELING AND COMBAT MECHANICS
By learning how to duel, you know how to beat your enemies in magical combat. You will learn the basics of duelling from Lucan Brattleby in the Clock Tower Courtyard by completing the quests Spell Combination Practice I and Crossed Wands: Round 2. Here you will learn how to perform combo's, block attacks, and break shields.
Because of your magical instinct, you will know of incomming attacks, and you'll be able to react accordingly and block or deflect the attacks. Similarly, you will be able to break your opponents' shields, by performing the right type of attack, which will be indicated by the color of the shield and the color of the spell.
Dueling Feats
In duels, you can complete certain types of objectives that grant experience and possibly other rewards. These feats can range from using a particular spell on a specific enemy, performing combo's, or using specific plants in combat.
